The philosopher of Artsakhian descent

Pavel Florensky, who had Armenian roots and whose ancestors came from Melik Beglaryans from Gyulistan on the maternal side, has left an indelible mark on the development of Russian philosophical thought and theology. Philosophical readings under the title ‘Civilization and a Man’, annually organized at Mesrop Mashtots University, were dedicated to the memory of theologian, scientist and innovator Pavel Florensky. Students, young scientists from not only Artsakh and Yerevan, but also from the cities of Moskow, Rostov-on- Don and Pyatigorsk had speeches.
